Vitalik Buterin

Vitalik Buterin is a programmer and writer best known as a co-founder of Ethereum and a prominent voice in the broader cryptocurrency and blockchain community. He also co-founded Bitcoin Magazine, and he is widely recognized for explaining complex crypto concepts in accessible terms.

Buterin proposed Ethereum as a blockchain designed to do more than transfer value. While Bitcoin popularized decentralized money, Ethereum introduced a general-purpose platform for smart contracts, programs that run on-chain and can manage digital assets according to predefined rules.
