Uri Kolodny, the firm's CEO, will step down due to a pressing family health matter. The successor to the position is StarkWare's current president, Eli Ben-Sasson. Despite his resignation as CEO, Kolodny will continue his active role as a member of the StarkWare board of directors.

StarkWare has its roots traced back to 2008, when it was established by Uri Kolodny and his long-time associate, Eli Ben-Sasson. The inception of the firm was inspired by their shared ambition to bring practical applications for the STARK cryptographic system which was co-invented by Ben-Sasson. Over the years, the company's success story is reflected in its impressive $8 billion valuation, and the development of STARK-based tech, a critical component in the expanding blockchain ecosystem.

Continued Service at StarkWare and Starknet Foundation
Even as CEO, Kolodny will remain an integral part of StarkWare's operations. He will continue serving on the company's board, alongside Ben-Sasson, Harish Devarajan, and Matt Huang. His involvement also extends to the Starknet Foundation, a non-profit entity striving to realize Starknet's vision of a robust, decentralized, and permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 Validity Rollup.
