Ripple (XRP) Poised for Significant Price Surge

Ripple's growth was just 17% in the final quarter of 2023, a performance that pales in comparison to top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin$42,260 -0.64% and Solana$104 5.03%, causing doubts among some XRP investors about the token's potential.

Anticipating a Massive Uptrend

Prominent crypto analyst EGRAG, however, advises XRP holders to stay patient as he alludes to technical signals that could indicate a huge uptrend he terms a "Gamma-Ray Burst" (GRB). The GRB concept is derived from high-energy astrophysical events that emit substantial quantities of gamma-ray radiation. EGRAG uses this as an analogy for similarly explosive price movements in the crypto markets.

XRP's Previous GRB-Like Rally

EGRAG points out that XRP has already witnessed a GRB-like rally during the 2017 crypto bull run, soaring from $0.0030 to $3.31 between January 2017 and 2018. He speculates that a second GRB event could push XRP to $11 in the present cycle, an increase of nearly 1,500% from its current level of approximately $0.70. However, he also proposes that even higher targets, such as $33 and $220, may be achievable.

Bullish Indicators Support Ultra-Bullish Thesis

Supporting this ultra-bullish thesis are several bullish indicators, including XRP's recent golden cross, where its 12-day simple moving average moved above its 24-day SMA.

Predictions of XRP Hitting $11

EGRAG's ambitious forecast is echoed elsewhere in the crypto space. AI system Google Bard concedes that under highly favorable conditions, it's theoretically feasible for XRP to hit double digits in the long term.

Changelly's Expectation for Ripple XRP

Likewise, top exchange Changelly anticipates Ripple XRP to surpass the $11 mark as early as 2031, though more realistically, this would happen in the subsequent years. Changelly, like EGRAG, identifies both clearer regulations and wider crypto adoption as tailwinds for XRP.

So, even with 2023's muted gains, XRP appears ready for an explosive move in 2024 and beyond.
