Xi Jinping (born June 15, 1953) is a Chinese statesman who has led the People’s Republic of China at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He is widely recognized for consolidating political authority while shaping China’s domestic governance priorities and its approach to global economic and strategic issues. In official capacity, Xi has served as the CCP’s general secretary and as the president of China, positions that also place him at the center of the state’s military leadership.
