Tobias Adrian

Tobias Adrian is a German and American economist who serves as Financial Counsellor and Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In this senior role, he helps set the IMF’s agenda on how monetary policy, financial regulation, and macroprudential oversight intersect—particularly as financial systems become more complex and globally interconnected.
