Rostin Behnam

Rostin Behnam is an American lawyer and government official known for leading the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the federal agency that regulates commodity futures, options, and swaps markets. Appointed and confirmed to senior CFTC leadership positions over multiple years, Behnam became the 15th Chairman of the agency and helped shape how U.S. derivatives rules apply in an era of rapid market change, including expanding digital-asset activity and evolving market infrastructure.
