Henry M. Paulson Jr., widely known as Hank Paulson, is a veteran U.S. public official and finance executive who served as the 74th Secretary of the Treasury under President George W. Bush from 2006 to 2009. In that role, he acted as the President’s senior policy advisor on domestic and international economic issues and helped direct Treasury’s response to major global economic challenges.
