J. Christopher “Chris” Giancarlo is an American attorney and former business executive who served as the 13th Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and later moved into senior legal practice focused on digital assets and financial regulation. Today, he is a senior counsel at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, where he co-chairs the firm’s Willkie Digital Works practice and advises clients across the futures, options, and swaps markets on compliance and regulatory strategy.
