Adam Back (born July 1970) is a British cryptographer and long-time cypherpunk known for foundational contributions to digital trust, proof-of-work concepts, and Bitcoin-era security thinking. He is the CEO and co-founder of Blockstream, a company focused on scaling and improving blockchain infrastructure through research and engineering.
