HairDAO is an innovative BioDAO, a part of the progressive DeSci movement, whose primary focus is to fund initial research and development stages in hair loss. The objective of HairDAO is to escalate the funding for these early steps, aiming to introduce new treatments for hair loss into the market.

What makes HairDAO unique in its approach is its application of cryptocurrency for fueling real-world innovations, particularly in generating Intellectual Property (IP) for hair loss. There is no other project that uses this methodology.

The Journey of HairDAO

HairDAO commenced its operations in November 2021, as part of the inaugural bio.xyz cohort, alongside VitaDAO, AthenaDAO, ValleyDAO, and PsyDAO. In the same month, HairDAO minted its first-ever IP-NFT concerning their inaugural study. This study pursued the effect of T3 and T4 Thyroid Hormones on human scalp skin organ cultures.

The Future of HairDAO

Looking forward, HairDAO plans to support, execute, and mint an extensive array of hair loss research as IP-NFTs. This will continue until an effective cure for hair loss is discovered and validated.

The Role of the Token

Currently, the HAIR token serves as a governance token, with 1 HAIR equivalent to 1 vote. Although more utility is likely to be added in the future, the token's primary role at present is to facilitate decision-making within the HairDAO community.
