Coorest Carbon Ecosystem

The Coorest carbon ecosystem is founded on four fundamental tokens: NFTrees, the CO2 token ($CCO2), the Proof of Carbon Compensation certificate (NFT), and the governance token ($CRST). The ecosystem employs the tokenization of trees, CO2 absorption, and claim on carbon compensation to circumvent the common issue of double counting in carbon emissions compensation. With the Coorest platform, individuals, companies, and institutions can effortlessly offset their carbon footprints while maintaining maximum transparency.

NFTrees and Their Types

Coorest has introduced two types of NFTrees - fruit-bearing and regular trees. Each type of NFTree is tied to trees planted and owned by Coorest. Holders of these NFTrees accumulate CO2 tokens, which are used to create PoCC certificates.

Fruit-Bearing NFTrees

When the fruit-bearing trees mature and start producing fruit, the holder of the corresponding NFTree gains the right to the profits from the fruit sales. This generates an additional yield and provides a unique revenue stream for the holder. The integrated income from the sale of CO2 tokens and the yield possibilities associated with a tree ensures that voluntary markets continue funding efforts aimed at generating further emission reductions and removals.
