This comes after months where the coin was trapped within a certain range. Polygon was trading at approximately $1.03 during press time, which represents a significant increase from the local lows of below $0.80 recorded the previous week. This altcoin's rally can be attributed to its successful breakout from a long-term triangle consolidation pattern that it has been stuck in since September.

Crypto analyst Captain Faibik highlighted that MATIC was finally breaking out of the triangle after a long consolidation, expressing hope that bulls would send it to $5. In addition, renowned analyst Lambo Charts noted striking resemblances with the coin's previous massive rally in 2021, which saw gains of over 9,400% at its peak. Lambo Charts is predicting a 20x increase from the current prices, suggesting potential rises towards $2, $5, $8, and $20 for Polygon MATIC. Should the coin rally to $20, this would constitute a new record high for MATIC, about 19 times above its current trading price.
