Saga Phone Owners Receive $250 Worth of Tokens From Access Protocol
Saga phone owners started receiving ACS tokens worth $250 from the crypto publishing platform Access Protocol on Tuesday. This highlights an ongoing trend of exclusive airdrops offering a significant boost to the previously struggling cellphone. Access Protocol announced via Twitter that they were offering 100,000 ACS tokens to all owners of the Solana$104 5.03%-centric phone.
Saga Phones: A Hot Commodity After Exclusive Airdrops
Last week's swift BONK rally revealed that Saga phones were packed with enough meme coins to cover the cost of the $600 phone. This resulted in a buying frenzy, which led to the depletion of Solana Mobile's entire stock of Saga phones. Despite BONK's value dropping by over 30% since - making the 30 million BONK in each phone worth less than its cost - more Solana ecosystem projects have been preparing their own airdrops.
ACS Tokens: A Doorway to Wide-Ranging Crypto Content
Access Protocol's ACS token has a unique use: it can be utilized as payment to gain access to a variety of crypto-related content. ACS holders can stake their tokens with content creators on the Access Protocol website. These creators offer a variety of services, such as newsletters, AI-generated anime, and headline feeds. Alternatively, ACS holders can choose to sell their tokens.
On Tuesday, the DeFi markets for ACS saw a whopping $16 million in trading volume, with a heavy leaning towards selling. This trading activity resulted in the token's value dropping by 6% on its busiest trading day, as Saga owners started trading their free tokens.
Limited Saga Genesis NFT Ownership
The ownership of the critical Saga genesis NFT, viewed as the ticket to receiving these airdrops, indicates that less than 3,500 of the 20,000 Saga phones in circulation have been fully set up. It appears that many Saga owners have not yet setup their wallets, which means they are unable to receive or sell any airdrops.
