HashKey Capital Singapore Receives Central Bank License for Fund-Management
The Singapore branch of the crypto asset manager, HashKey Capital, has acquired a license from the central bank which permits it to offer fund-management services in the country. This license, known as the Capital Markets Services (CMS) license, was granted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Contribution to the Local Blockchain Community
Chief Executive Officer Deng Chao expresses that the CMS license will further allow HashKey Capital Singapore to positively impact the local blockchain community. This statement followed the reception of an in-principle license in November 2022.
Other Recipient of CMS License
HashKey Capital isn't the first company to receive a CMS license. In November, DigiFT, a crypto exchange platform was issued a CMS license. Earlier, in September, SBI Digital Markets, a branch of SBI Holdings' digital assets wing, Japan's financial services heavyweight, was also granted the license.
Creating a Conducive Environment for Finance
HashKey Capital aims to create an environment where traditional and digital financial ecosystems harmoniously converge, as stated in an official report.
Planning for Global Investment Initiatives
HashKey Capital successfully raised $500 million for its third fund in January. The firm plans to invest in Web3 and crypto initiatives globally.
