Shiba Inu (SHIB) Crypto Asset: A Market Overview
In 2023, Shiba Inu$0.000010 -2.05% (SHIB), one of the most recognized cryptocurrencies, has experienced a stagnant price performance. Compared to its peers like Bitcoin$42,260 -0.64% (BTC), which skyrocketed more than 150% within the same period, SHIB's value merely rose 22% since January. Despite the launch of a substantial layer-2 network earlier in the year, the expected significant price rise did not materialize.
An Outlook for Shiba Inu (SHIB) in the Next Bull Run
The seemingly disappointing performance notwithstanding, SHIB enthusiasts are optimistic about a possible surge during the next cryptocurrency bull run, projected to occur in 2024. Speculations are rife on whether SHIB will reach a price target of $0.001 in the upcoming bull run, implying an astronomical growth of roughly 10,000% from its present levels. Such a leap would mean significant returns for even small-scale investors.
Future Price Projections of Shiba Inu (SHIB)
However, the road to $0.001 per SHIB is not an easy one. A projection by Changelly puts the maximum price of SHIB at around $0.0000169983 in 2024, indicating a growth of almost 71% from its current levels. They anticipate that SHIB is unlikely to breach the $0.001 mark before 2032.
The Challenge of SHIB's Massive Supply
The significant obstacle to SHIB's path to $0.001 is its colossal supply, currently around 589 trillion. A token price of $0.001 would render the market size extraordinarily large. However, the SHIB team has disclosed plans to implement a new burn mechanism to considerably lower SHIB's supply. A recent hard fork of the Shibarium network to enhance burns has also been executed. Some experts believe that this new burn mechanism could potentially remove trillions of tokens annually, accelerating the timeline to reach the $0.001 target price. However, it seems unlikely to occur during the 2024 bull run.
