Zakinov Vs. Ripple Labs Case: A Recap
Initiated in 2018 when XRP holders sued Ripple Labs, the lawsuit accused the company of disseminating false information and contravening laws by selling XRP as an unregistered security. Vladi Zakinov, one of the victims, lends his name to the case. After multiple deferrals, the trial is poised to begin on April 15th, 2024.

Ripple's ongoing dispute with the SEC will reach its grant trail just over a week later. On April 23rd, 2024, both parties will convene in court. Deadlines have been assigned for both parties to submit their brief for remedies; the SEC's is due on March 13th, while Ripple's is set for April 12th.
