Deloitte Division to Utilize Polkadot-based Kilt Blockchain for Shipping Industry
The professional services firm Deloitte, part of the esteemed "Big Four" accounting corporations, has decided to leverage the Kilt Blockchain, based on Polkadot$8.21 -2.51% technology, to provide logistics and supply-chain services. Their focus is particularly on the shipping industry.
New Logistics Service: KYX
During the India Blockchain Week conference, a fireside chat revealed that Deloitte is collaborating with Nexxiot, a supply-chain tech company. The partnership aims to introduce an innovative logistics service known as KYX. This service uniquely combines Know Your Client (KYC) and Know Your Cargo methodologies. These processes are designed to verify the identity of the client and the authenticity of their shipped goods, respectively. Importantly, this system is constructed on the Kilt network.
The Role of Decentralized and Open-Source Solutions
The founder of the KILT Protocol$0.425 -3.89%, Ingo Rube has stated, Decentralized and open-source solutions 'Built on KILT,' can empower any entity to create a service on a blockchain without a necessity for dealing with cryptocurrencies or prior blockchain experience.
Early Adopters of the KYX System
Shipping leader Hapag-Lloyd will be the first to put KYX into practice, closely followed by telecommunications titan Vodafone. Reports suggest that Hapag-Lloyd is in the process of fitting around 1.5 million of their containers with tracking devices. This will ensure that these containers are secure and remain unopened throughout their journey.
KILT Protocol's Performance
Data indicates that the native tokens of the KILT Protocol, known as KILT, have seen a 2.5% increase over the past 24 hours.
