Minting Resumes for Microcosms NFTs with Consensus Tickets Reward
Minting for Microcosms, a unique NFT that offers holders three-years of tickets to Consensus, and other benefits, has resumed. The minting process kicked off on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC) for a price of 1 ETH, and it will continue until Thursday, March 14, at 1 p.m. ET, or until the collection sells out.
Understanding Microcosms
Microcosms are one-of-a-kind NFTs linked to 1,000 distinctive digital artworks crafted by generative artist Fahad Karim, who is also an engineer. Holders of Microcosms are given a companion Pro Pass to Consensus, which is airdropped directly into their digital wallets for a duration of three years, representing a minimum value of $3,600. Like the NFT, the ticket is also an on-chain asset that can be sold, used or gifted, and belongs to the holder. To enjoy these benefits, holders must retain the NFT in their digital wallets each year.
The unique NFT also paves the way for holders to receive extra rewards. Each year until 2026, the reward system will be reset. Microcosms operates on the Art Blocks Engine, which powers the popular generative art platform. Partnering with Passage Protocol, the back-end reward systems are managed. Furthermore, the redemption and token-gated facets of the project are overseen by Tokenproof.
Exploring the Reward System
Rewards for holders will be airdropped randomly. Provided that a holder's wallet contains the Microcosms NFT on March 18, the holder qualifies to receive a variety of the following rewards: A 15-minute stage session, two media purchases, each valued at $10,000 on coindesk.com, three 2024 Piranha passes, six Austin local hot spots gift cards, 50 bonus tickets to Consensus 2024, and 100 pieces of exclusive merchandise.
A complete list of the rewards is available on the Microcosms website.
The Power of NFT Ticketing
Brands have long used loyalty programs as a strategy to stimulate repeat business from customers and strengthen their relationships with the most dedicated consumers. NFT ticketing offers a new dimension to this approach by offering holders a collectible, while also aiding brands in recognizing and rewarding their most loyal customer base in the future.
As these loyalty programs evolve and become intensely personalized, blockchain technology could offer brands a more precise understanding of their customers, whether at online or in-person events like Consensus.
